Mike Canfield

MAC Consulting was founded by Mike Canfield, a former director of admissions who has worked for almost twenty years in higher education.  Utilizing his professional experiences and effective coaching strategies from his masters in human resource management, Mike provides services to two specific constituents, both heavily invested in the college search process:

 

1.  High School Students and Families - MAC Consulting provides planning, coaching, and process management for families throughout the college search process and beyond.  Families can join Mike at any chapter of their college search and enrollment process.  Areas of consultation include college fit identification, essay development, financial aid and enrollment transition, and more.

2.  College Admissions Professionals – MAC Consulting supports college admissions offices by offering:

a.       Staff Training—Interactive training provides opportunities that help admission staff grow their professional skills and knowledge to more effectively serve their prospective families.  Options are tailored toward new or seasoned admissions professionals, respectively, as well as student tour guides.

b.      Special Projects – When you have a project that requires an experienced admissions professional but find yourself short of personnel or time, MAC Consulting can provide you flexibility you might not otherwise have.  Some previous projects have included enrollment data analysis, presentation development and summer program coordination.
